Florida Highway Patrol Identifies Fatal Hit-and Run Victim, Still Seek Suspect Vehicle

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are on scene of a fatal hit and run crash in Brevard County that occurred on Satellite Boulevard and Dean Avenue.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol has identified Jason Rodeghier, 39, of Cocoa as the victim of a hit-and-run early Monday morning on Satellite Boulevard and Dean Avenue, located west of I-95 and north of State Road 520.

According to FHP, Rodeghier was jogging southbound on Satellite Boulevard on the east side of the road as the suspect vehicle, a gray Chrysler, was traveling southbound on Satellite Boulevard at an unknown time early Monday morning.

According to FHP, Rodeghier was struck by the vehicle and he came to a final rest in a ditch. He was found just after 7 a.m.

The gray Chrysler then fled the scene with damage to the front end, possibly the headlight and turn signal area.
