Janna Ivey To Open For Clint Black At Port Canaveral Seafood and Music Festival

DELICIOUS SEAFOOD, GREAT MUSIC, INCREDIBLE VENUE!

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard’s own Janna Ivey is set to perform at the Port Canaveral Seafood and Music Festival, opening for Clint Black on Saturday, February 27.
Ivey is a native Floridian who discovered the love of music at an early age.
Growing up in Vero Beach, she was exposed to a variety of different music types and sounds, and was encouraged by her parents to pursue her passions.
Ivey began playing cello at the age of 11 and continued through high school, claiming the coveted first chair position in her high school orchestra for many years.
While living in Titusville, she began to discover country music and take in influence from her surroundings, and at the age of 19, received her first guitar.

Although Ivey had been writing song lyrics since the age of eight, she never had the tools to put together a complete song. Fast forward to 2015, and the 26-year old is now playing regular shows at local hot-spots across Brevard County.
Ivey performs with a variety of musicians and is currently making the final edits to her first demo which she calls an eclectic mix of country, alternative, blues and pop.
Her main influences musically has been Janis Joplin, Travis Tritt, Carrie Underwood, Maroon 5, John Mayer, and said her own personal upbringing and life experiences have all helped to shape her style of songwriting and vocals.
“Like most singer/songwriters, I would love to be able to tour the world performing my songs, and to one day be considered as one of the best performers in the music industry,” said Ivey.
“I truly value and understand the importance of hard work and dedication, and won’t stop until I achieve my goals.”

Ivey, whose father is Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, recently performed at the Police Hall of Fame in Titusville for the families of fallen officers during a special ceremony.
“Although it was a difficult show to get through without crying, it was also deeply moving,” said Ivey.
“You could sense that you were helping, at least in some small way, for these families to be able to grieve and to know that their loved ones’ lives mattered.”
Ivey is currently employed as Brevard County Commissioner Curt Smith’s executive assistant, and also works hard on behalf of the welfare of animals.
“I’m a huge animal lover and the proud mom of two incredible rescue dogs, I would encourage everyone to visit their local animal shelters and give a pet a forever home,” said Ivey.
Ivey currently performs with a variety of musicians throughout Central Florida at various venues and special events.
“I am honored to have been selected to open for country music legend Clint Black at such an incredible event right here in my own hometown,” said Ivey.
“Having the chance to perform for so many people from our community is incredibly rewarding and I am so excited to be a part of the Port Canaveral Seafood and Music Festival.”
Ivey will perform at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 27 at the Port Canaveral Seafood Festival on the Space Coast Daily Stage.
