BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On Friday, Florida Tech added a new member who will be making an impact for years to come both on and off the court. Partnering with Team IMPACT, Hunter Jackson has signed to be the newest member of the Panther program.

The men’s tennis program has already gotten an opportunity to spend some time with Jackson and the young boy has quickly left his mark on the team.

“Having him around is always so much fun,” said freshman Cameron Sanson.

Jackson has been a perfect match for the Panthers. While he certainly is keen to having a good time with his new teammates, he also knows when to hold the players accountable.

“He fits in really well,” continued Sanson.

“We all can joke around with him and have a laugh but he also tells us when we’re not working hard enough at the VTC or on the courts. We’ve really sort of adopted him and made him part of the team.”

While Friday was all about the draft event and making the day as special as possible for Jackson, the bond between him and his teammates will be something that will grow for many years.

The partnership with Team IMPACT is all about making special moments for children who are facing extraordinary challenges. That being said, more often than not the children make an even bigger impact on the team that they are joining.

“I think it’s going to be awesome to see how much he grows over the years and to see how much he can learn from us but also how much we can learn from him,” stated Sanson.

Team IMPACT improves the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses through the power of team. Drafted children become official members of their team from draft day through to graduation.

Through a structured relationship management methodology, the organization establishes and cultivates these relationships to ensure a successful experience for the families and teams involved.
