(WOFL FOX 35) – Turtle nesting season gets underway in March and wildlife officials have a new warning this year. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation are asking people to put away their cell phones.
The camera flashes can scare or disorient the turtles which could cause the turtles to go back into the water without laying any eggs.
