Gruesome Crash Off N. Courtenay Parkway In Merritt Island Sunday Morning, Hospitalizes One

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard Fire Rescue responded to a gruesome crash early Sunday morning at around 2:15 a.m.

According to investigators, the vehicle appears to have hit a pole and a parked vehicle in front of the old Umpa’s Diner on North Courtenay Parkway.

A trauma alert was administered for the driver and flown to a local trauma center by First Flight.

The vehicle caught fire and was extinguished later.
