The City of Melbourne Public Works & Utilities Department will be closing the west-bound lane of E. Melbourne Avenue, between Vernon Place & Melbourne Ct., in order to repair a water main. (City of Melbourne image)

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The City of Melbourne Public Works & Utilities Department will be closing the west-bound lane of E. Melbourne Avenue, between Vernon Place & Melbourne Ct., in order to repair a water main.

The work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, March 30 beginning at 5 a.m. and extending until 4 p.m.

A detour will be provided to route traffic around the work area.

East-bound traffic will remain open.
