BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – In an effort to save lives, the Titusville Police Department is participating in the statewide “Click it or Ticket” campaign sponsored by Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles beginning March 1 through March 14.

Florida law requires all drivers, front seat passengers and anyone under the age of 18 years old to wear a seat belt.

Children under the age of 4 must be buckled in a child safety seat. Children 4 and 5 years old must be buckled in a child safety seat or secured in a booster set.

The Titusville Police Department adheres to a ZERO tolerance policy for seat belt violators during this campaign time.

Officers will be increasing traffic enforcement to increase public safety reduce traffic crashes. Citations will be issued to drivers and passengers not wearing a seat belt.
