Units Working To Determine if remains are human

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation on I-95 at the Eau Gallie Causeway after discovering an adult male, who was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Paw Prints Drive and Eau Gallie Boulevard in unincorporated Melbourne on Thursday relating to the discovery of possible human remains, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Paw Prints Drive and Eau Gallie Boulevard on Thursday in response to a possible discovery of human remains, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The area is located in unincorporated Melbourne.

Sheriff’s Agents and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and are working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm if the remains are human.

The remains appear to have been there for an extended period of time, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
