Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) will host, and the public is invited to attend, the 2016 Congressional Art Competition entitled “An Artistic Discovery” on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Vero Beach Museum of Art in Vero Beach.

VERO BEACH, FLORIDA – Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) will host, and the public is invited to attend, the 2016 Congressional Art Competition entitled “An Artistic Discovery” on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Vero Beach Museum of Art in Vero Beach.

The theme for this year’s artwork will focus on the Indian River Lagoon. Awards will be presented at 11 a.m.

“This is an exciting opportunity for talented young artists in the 8th District to showcase their works of art to our community,” said Congressman Posey.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how these young artists present their vision of the Indian River Lagoon.”

This year’s winner will have his or her artwork displayed in the Capitol in Washington, D.C., and artwork by the first and second runner-ups will be put on display in Congressman Posey’s Washington and Florida offices, respectively.
