Lopez-Cantera is Running for U.S. Senate

Florida Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera publicly confirmed Saturday that he is "strongly considering" a U.S. Senate bid in 2016, drawing closer to throwing his hat in a GOP primary ring that already has one congressman and could soon include a handful of other candidates.
Florida Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera will be speaking tonight in Indian Harbour Beach for a general membership meeting of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY • INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, FLORIDA – Florida Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera will be speaking tonight in Indian Harbour Beach for a general membership meeting of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida.

The Lieutenant Governor is one of the leading Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate seat that is currently being held by Marco Rubio.

Rubio is not seeking re-election after he recently announced the suspension of his campaign for President of the United States.

The meeting is slated for 7 p.m.

Doors open at 6 p.m., at MeMaw’s BBQ located at 600 E. Eau Gallie Blvd., Indian Harbour Beach.
