BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Giles Electric Company, Inc. announced they are celebrating 45 years serving residential and commercial customers in the state of Florida, and have expanded to open a Space Coast office in Brevard County.

Brad started with the company in 1978 when he was in 9th grade as a “shop boy” and the company added their first vice president since Brad last year, Byron Overstreet, who started as an apprentice. In addition to his vice president duties, he also coordinates all estimating for the company.

Giles has worked all over Florida providing power distribution, lighting, low voltage equipment, fiber optic systems, fire alarm systems and more for customers such as a portfolio of other businesses such as assisted living facilities, municipal buildings, restaurants, education facilities and more.

Their core areas of service are Volusia, Brevard, Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, Seminole and Orange County. They have recently added a Space Coast Office in Brevard County, located at 2459 Cheney Highway in Titusville.

The company is proud to be involved with the Daytona Beach Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, a non- profit doing business as the Don Morgan Electrical Academy.

“We owe the majority of Giles success to our management team, our dedicated staff of talented electricians, project managers, and our support staff that keeps us organized and on-task,” said Giles President and owner Brad Giles.

“We are also of course grateful to our loyal customers that have supported us for the past 45 years – we will continue to strive to provide them with cost effective electrical expertise and the best service around,” he added.

The goal of the academy is to attract college bound students offering the apprenticeship and degree at the same time.

Art Giles, founder of Giles Electric, got involved in 1974 volunteering, utilizing, and employing apprentices from the program.

Don Morgan was Art Giles very first journeyman. The journeyman program is free to attend and is sponsored by Giles Electric and 10 other local employers.
