BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – New Digital LED sign boards are hitting the streets in Titusville.
The agency has initiated a project designed to make intersections and roadways safer in the community.
Beginning this week, speed enforcement trailers will display the speed of drivers and warn them when they are speeding.
The signs can also be used to display traffic warning messages when needed.
This project comes on the heels of an evaluation which identified incident prone intersections and roadways with reports of vehicles traveling over the posted speed limit and vehicle crashes.
Currently there are speed enforcement trailers on S.R. 405 and Hickory Hill Boulevard.

“This is another great chance to use technology to help promote our overall traffic safety efforts”, said Chief John Lau.
“These LED display boards are solar powered and need very little serving”, added Lau.
The three speed enforcement trailers were purchased with forfeiture funds, monies seized from criminals and put back into the community for crime prevention and safety initiatives.
