“Every $10 or $20 helps us reach our goal and helps kids fight cancer” said Des Chaskelson, Sensei at Cocoa Beach Karate School.
This is the eight year in a row that Cocoa Beach Karate School has held the Martial Arts for St. Jude program.
“Community service is a big part of the training for our karate students” said Chaskelson Sensei.
“We strive to teach students to be of service to others within the karate community and outside as part of the character development required in addition to the physical and technical karate skills required for advancement to higher ranks”
Cocoa Beach Karate has raised more than $26,000 for the St Jude Kids since it began in 2009.
Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and around the world.

No child is ever denied treatment because of a family’s inability to pay.
