Yearbook featured 84 percent of student body

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – DeLaura Middle’s yearbook team and program was selected as a 2016 winner for Josten’s National Yearbook Program of Excellence.
This award recognizes school teams who excel in the creation and distribution of their school’s yearbook. Selected winners demonstrate an understanding of the importance of a yearbook’s meaningfulness, project management and quantitative worth.
The award program requires a minimum 50 percent of the student population to be featured three times (DeLaura featured 84 percent), make every deadline including cover designs and sell to 55 percent of the student body or a five percent increase from the previous year.
DeLaura accomplished all three feats. Only three schools in Central Florida were selected for this honor and DeLaura represents the only public school in Brevard and the only traditional middle school in Central Florida to be awarded this honor.
The school’s yearbook program will be recognized during the Jostens Florida summer workshop from July 20 – 22, 2016 at Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs.
Additionally, the school will also be featured in Jostens national look book for 2017, which is sent to every school in the country that Jostens works with, as well as featured online.
