Space Coast Crew Achieves Record Results At Florida State Sweeps Competition

Women's Lightweight 4 wins State Championship

Space Coast Crew achieved record results for the club at the Florida State Sweep Championships, hosted By Florida Scholastic Rowing Association last month.
Rowers eligible to compete in the Florida State Sweep Championships are members of the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association (FSRA) – comprised of 41 schools and clubs and 276 entries.
Space Coast Crew rowers earned 50 medals and the team finished seventh in overall team points this weekend at the State Sweep Championships.
FSRA Crews from around the state race a 1500 meter course during the two day event. The races at this year’s event included; Women’s and Men’s Freshman, Junior & Varsity races.
The rowers of Space Coast Crew had an exceptional showing at the Florida State Sweep Championships attaining the following results:
Women’s Lightweight 4 – State Champions

The success achieved by SCC at the Brevard Cup and Florida State Sweep Championships adds to the exceptional results achieved at Florida State Sculling Championships earlier this month.
On May 13, SCC will travel to Sarasota to compete in the U.S. Rowing Southeast Youth Championships for a chance to move on to Nationals in June.
