Deadly Crash In Brevard County Kills Mims Teenager Friday Night On I-95

Northbound I-95 has been shut down south of the Garden Street exit in Titusville due to a fatal vehicle crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a deadly crash on I-95 Friday night that killed 14-year-old Jarret Blair from Mims and seriously injured 19-year-old Samantha Hodge.

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a deadly crash on I-95 Friday night that killed 14-year-old Jarret Blair from Mims and seriously injured 19-year-old  Samantha Hodge.

According to troopers, Hodge was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse when she lost control of the vehicle and veered across multiple lanes into a guard rail near mile marker 227.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Friday night and troopers are still investigating what caused the driver, Hodge, to lose control of the vehicle.

Hodge was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash and charges are pending.
