High Speed Police Chase Ends In Crash On U.S. 1 Near Sarno Road In Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police, along with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Aviation unit, were involved in a high-speed chase with a Ford Mustang on Thursday morning that ended up crashing with a Melbourne police vehicle.

According to the Melbourne police, the pursuit ended on U.S. 1 near Sarno Road.

U.S. 1 was closed for a period of time Thursday morning but is now reopened.

The driver has not yet been identified by authorities.
