BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Zoo is set to celebrate World Giraffe Day, an annual event to celebrate the longest-necked animal on the longest day or night of the year – 21 June – every year.

Only 90,000 giraffe are remaining in the wild.

Not only is it a worldwide celebration of these amazing and much loved animals, but an annual event to raise support, create awareness and shed light on the challenges giraffe face in the wild.

Brevard Zoo is a 75-acre home to more than 650 animals and features animal feedings, kayak tours, paddle boats in the wetlands, behind-the-scene tours and a train ride.

It also has the attraction Treetop Trek. Brevard Zoo is a not-for-profit organization accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The zoo is divided into four loops: Expedition Africa, Australia/Asia, Wild Florida, and La Selva. These loops are accessed off of the main loop that encircles the flamingo pond.
