Axe-Wielding Afghan Refugee Attacks German Railway Passengers, Up To 21 Injured

Over a dozen people have been injured after a 17-year-old male teen of Afghan origin armed with an axe and a knife attacked people on board a train traveling between Wurzburg-Heidingsfeld and Ochsenfurt, in central Germany.

According to rt.com, German police confirmed that between 10 and 15 people were injured in the attack, and local media reports suggested that up to 21 people could have been hurt.

The perpetrator, who fled the scene after the attack, was shot by police.

According to Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann, the suspect entered the country as an unaccompanied minor and lived with a foster family for the last two weeks.
