Brevard County Fire Rescue has reported that four people were taken to the hospital after being removed from a boat in the area of 300 Sea Ray Drive in Merritt Island at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue has reported that four people were taken to the hospital after being removed from a boat in the area of 300 Sea Ray Drive in Merritt Island at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the victims were on a boat on the barge canal and were victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Hazmat recorded high reading of the deadly gas in the cabin.
