BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Congressman Bill Posey will host a Federal Contracting Conference on August 2 at Florida Tech in the Hartley Room at the Denius Student Center, located at 150 W. University Boulevard in Melbourne.
This is the chance for government contractors to have one-on-one meetings with procurement representatives from Washington D.C., and Central Florida to explore new contracting opportunities.
This is also an opportunity for local businesses that specialize in technology, innovation, defense contracting and services to learn how to navigate the federal procurement process.
Congressman Posey will coordinate with the 45th Space Wing – US Air Force, FAA, GSA, CareerSource Brevard, Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, NASA, SBA, Small Business Development Center at Eastern Florida State College, Space Florida, SCORE and weVENTURE Powered by Florida Institute of Technology.
The agenda includes a keynote address by CongressmanPosey, Matchmaker meetings and Expo presentations by the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce, Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce, Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce, AE Com, the Boeing Company, CareerSource Brevard, DRS, FL Business & Manufacturing Solutions, Inc., Florida 8(a) Alliance, GCAT, IAP, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins, Space Coast Women In Defense, Vencore and other local defense contractors.
Networking and a continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. and the program will start at 9 a.m. Match Maker appointments will be held 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
