BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team will be tested early and often this season with a new addition to the conference as well as a tough non-conference schedule.
And it starts with the opener as Eastern Florida opens the season Aug. 26-27 at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The Titans will open with San Jacinto College on Friday and then play Hinds Community College Saturday.
San Jacinto had 12 wins last season and lost in the final of the Region XIV Tournament.

“We are really looking forward to our opening NJCAA game against perennial power San Jacinto College in Mississippi, this a repeat of our match-up two years ago on neutral territory and we are looking for revenge,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees said.
Then the Titans open the home season with a home game against Laramie County Community College. Laramie won 15 games last season and finished second in the Region IX tournament.
Daytona State College will join Region 8 this season making the region even stronger than in past years.
“The addition of Daytona is fantastic for NJCAA soccer in Florida. Our region will now be one of the strongest in the nation and I expect Daytona to build a great program and be highly competitive in year one,” Twelvetrees said.
The addition of Daytona State also means the region champion will get to host the district tournament involving the champions of the Carolinas and Georgia.
Overall, the Titans will play seven regular-season home matches this season and will travel to Mississippi and St. Louis where they will meet Jefferson College, who they are perfect against including a win in the national tournament last season.
Admission to home games is free and games are played at the Titan Soccer Complex on the Melbourne campus of Eastern Florida State College.
