Hugh Small, 90, of Cocoa Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash At U.S. 1 and Canaveral Boulevard

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ninety-year-old Hugh Small of Cocoa was killed Saturday about 3:10 p.m. in a two-vehicle crash at U.S. 1 and Canaveral Boulevard.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Devin Holloway of Cocoa was driving a 2012 Toyota Prius southbound on U.S. 1, as Corine Small, 79, of Cocoa was traveling northbound on U.S. 1.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that Small attempted to make a left turn to travel westbound on Canaveral Groves Boulevard, and according to witnesses, Holloway ran the red light at the intersection and struck the front of Small’s 2013 Hyundai four-door sedan.
Hugh Small was a passenger in the Hyundai and was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Wuesthoff Hospital.
Corine Small was seriously injured and taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center. Hugh Small was not wearing a seatbelt, Corine Small was wearing a seatbelt.
According to FHP, Holloway received minor injuries and was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.
This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, according to FHP.
