GAMES CONTINUE FRIDAY NIGHT

Major Baseball pool play continued Saturday morning at Mims' Holder Park with Port St. John Little League taking on Merritt Island.
Juniors Baseball continued at W. W. James Park on Thursday night with Rockledge Little League taking on Mims Little League, while Port St. John took on Rockledge.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Juniors Baseball continued at W. W. James Park on Thursday night with Rockledge Little League taking on Mims Little League.

MIMS 16, ROCKLEDGE 0: Offense was scarce for Rockledge. Clay Christiansen and Nick Berry provided the only two hits for the visitors with a pair of singles. Ryan Minnear and Dawson Martin led the way for the Mims offense with RBI doubles and Colton Coffel went 2-for-2 with a RBI along with Hallie Blake and Tristan Woodruff adding singles.

Jarrett Compton also picked up a RBI driving in a run on a squeeze bunt. Coffel pitched three no-hit innings to pick up the 16-0 win for Mims in 4 1/2 innings.

Play will continue Friday night with North Merritt Island Little taking on Rockledge at 7 p.m.

PORT ST. JOHN 9, ROCKLEDGE 6: Up at Mims’ Holder Park, 10-12 Baseball games continued with Rockledge Little League meeting Port St. John. Clayton Revels hit a 2-RBI double to help with Rockledge’s 6 runs, but Tyler Steinbaugh had 2 doubles as Port St. John put up 9 runs in their 5 1/2 inning victory.

Port St. John will meet Mims for Friday night’s game at 7 p.m.
