Police Arrest Suspect With Over 30 Felony Convictions After Burglarizing Titusville Business

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have arrested 56-year-old Kenneth Wayne Fernandez, known as a serial burglar with over 30 felony convictions with most of them being burglary and possession of burglary tools, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.
He was recently caught burglarizing a Titusville business.
The investigation has revealed that on Thursday at around 1:15 a.m., the suspect threw a rock through the glass door of Fastenal Hardware located at 369 Cheney Highway and removed merchandise.
After witnesses notified police, alert officers spotted the suspect leaving the scene in his vehicle. They conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested him, according to authorities.
Kenneth Wayne Fernandez, 56, of Orlando, was charged with burglary of an unoccupied building and grand theft. The stolen merchandise was recovered along with burglary tools including a crowbar, mallet and micro torch.
The Titusville Police Department remains vigilant in efforts to reduce burglaries of Titusville businesses occurring overnight.
Fernandez is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
