SEC Media Predicts Florida Gators To Finish Behind Tennessee In Up For Grabs SEC East

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA (FloridaGators.com) – The University of Florida football team was selected to finish second in the Southeastern Conference’s Eastern Division this season, while ranking fifth in voting for the SEC champion.

The selections were made by those in attendance at the conference’s annual week-long media days taking place n Birmingham, Alabama.

The Gators were picked to finish runner-up in the SEC Eastern Division with 57 first-place votes and 1,891 total points, ranking behind Tennessee who was predicted to finish first in the division with 2,167 points and 225 first-place votes. Florida came up fifth in the voting for SEC Champion.

Alabama was picked to win its third-straight SEC title as the Crimson Tide amassed 223 points in the voting process. However, only five times since 1992 the SEC Media Days predicted champion gone on to win the SEC Championship.
