BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – This is the aftermath of today’s bedroom fire at 1170 3rd Ave. in Titusville that was started by a 4-year-old playing with a lighter, according to Titusville Fire Department.

Titusville Fire urges everyone to please make sure items like lighters and matches are not readily available to children.

Discuss the importance of not playing with fire. Having working smoke detectors and knowing 2 ways out in case of fire are things all of us should talk about with our family.

The consequences can be deadly. Luckily, today no one was injured.
