BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Michael Anthony McCollum, 40, of Titusville, a suspect in the sexual battery of two children, has been apprehended in Georgia and brought back to Brevard County to face charges.

According to the Titusville police, they notified on July 10 that a child under 12 years old, and a child over 12 years old, were sexually battered by the suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued for McCollum on July 11.

“Titusville police detectives and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office “Game Over” Task Force members followed valuable investigative leads and McCollum was subsequently located and arrested in Georgia,” said Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

McCollum was extradited to Brevard County and charged with four counts of Sexual Battery of a Child, three counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation and Violation of Probation.

McCollum was booked into the Brevard County Jail on Wednesday and is being held with no bond.
