BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –  The Business Recognition Committee of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce will present the 28th Annual Business Champion of the Year Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 9, at the Doubletree by Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront.

The headline event sponsor is Waste Management, Inc.

“Each year we are amazed at the accomplishments of the businesses that are nominated,”said Tom Vani, Event Chair for the Business Champion of the Year Awards.

“We are honored to go through the process of recognizing these outstanding businesses and look forward to extending our congratulations to all and bringing deserved applause and appreciation to our winners.”

This event helps recognize the dedication that businesses have to improving the community.

Categories for the Business Champion of the Year includes Small Business (1-25 Employees); Medium Business (26-100 Employees); Large Business (101-500 Employees); Non-Profit Organization; Start-Up Business (In operation for at least one year, but not more than three years).

Master of ceremonies will be Lynda Weatherman, CEO & President, Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception sponsored by Artemis and an elegant dinner and the awards program starts at 6:30 p.m.

General admission to the Business Champion of the Year Awards is $45 per person.  A $125 sponsorship provides two reserved seats and recognition in the event program.
