Much like he did when he took the reins of Eastern Florida’s inaugural men’s soccer team two seasons ago head coach Oliver Twelvetrees is starting anew. With only a handful of returnees from last season’s team that finished one game short of a second consecutive national tournament berth, Twelvetrees knew he needed to retool and he believes he did. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In just three seasons, the Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team has accomplished a lot. Three-time defending region champions and have been to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament twice.

And on Friday night some of the players that have helped the program reach those heights will be back on Titan Soccer Complex for the program’s first alumni game.

“I think it’s always good to honor and respect the alumni that have played here,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees said.

“It will be a great experience for the new players to meet the older players and talk to them about the tradition that they started and try to learn from that and build a bigger program here.”

“We are in our fourth year now and I feel like we are at the point where we can field a really good alumni team,” Twelvetrees said.

“We are going to see a few players that are still playing at the top of their games, it’s really going to be a talented group and will be a good test for the boys.”

The current Titans have been getting in shape for the season and many will make their debut Friday night.

“It has been a hard couple days of practice and we still have a couple more before Friday. The boys won’t be in full condition,” admitted Twelvetrees, who added that while he will treat it like a real game he plans to use his entire team on Friday night.

“You will see everybody. All 24 players that are fit to play will be out there,” Twelvetrees said.

Game time is 5:30 p.m. and admission is free.
