BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team will open the season as the No. 1 ranked team in NJCAA Division I.
The preseason poll was released on Tuesday afternoon and have the Titans No. 1 with Butler Community College No. 2 and Tyler Junior College No. 3.
And the two teams will open the regular season at the Titan Soccer Complex on Aug. 26.
The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff and will be televised live on WEFS-TV, and streamed live at njcaatv.com/efsc
The road will not be easy for Eastern Florida State College as a week after hosting Butler Community College, the Titans will welcome No. 13 Johnson County on Sept. 2 and then No. 6 Darton State comes to town on Sept. 23.

“We are excited for the upcoming season and the new players that are here,” said Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer coach Jeff Carr.
“The ranking is truly a reflection on the history of our program and the success of last year’s team. This year’s team is brand new with only three returning players and time will tell if we are deserving of the No. 1 ranking.”
The Titans, who were ranked No. 2 in the preseason National Soccer Coaches Association of America NJCAA poll, will host the NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer National Championship Tournament again this season.
The Titans fell in the championship game last season to Iowa Central, who is No. 1 in the NSCAA poll.
