Melbourne Police Arrest Bryon Lewis For Attempted Murder After Shooting Wednesday Night

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police arrested Bryon Kevin Lewis, 39, for Attempted Murder Wednesday night after a shooting at the Landmark at Ocean Breeze Apartments about 8:25 p.m.
Melbourne police officers responded to Holmes Regional Medical Center to investigate a report of a victim with a a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
“A crime scene was located with witnesses that indicated some type of disturbance occurred in the parking lot resulting in the victim being shot,” said Lt. T.A. Turner of the Melbourne Police Department.
“The suspected shooter, later identified as Bryon Kevin Lewis, called the police department communication center and agreed to respond to the criminal investigations building to give a statement.”
Lt. Turner said that Lewis was interviewed and charged with Attempted Murder and the victim is currently being treated at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
