Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Scott Ellis for Brevard Clerk of Courts

Just a few years ago the Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida created the Jefferson Cup Award.
The Cup is presented at our Constitution Day Dinner each year to someone our board believes personifies the qualities of Thomas Jefferson that our organization works so hard to promote.
A commitment to limited Constitutional government, low taxes and less regulation, free market capitalism, and personal freedom and responsibility are the hallmarks of a Jefferson Cup Award recipient.
When the time came to select our first ever Jefferson Cup winner the choice was crystal clear. The Cup had to go to Scott Ellis.
In the race this year for the County Clerk of Courts position the choice is equally clear. Our endorsement has to be for Scott Ellis.
This selection is in no way intended to be a criticism of Trudie Infantini who is also running for Clerk. In fact, when the time came a year later to choose the second annual Jefferson Cup winner the unanimous choice was Trudie Infantini. We like her.
We have always supported her. She and Scott are like family. In fact, if Scott were not running I’m confident that we would be supporting Trudie.
But Scott is running and there is no denying that in this race, for this position, Scott Ellis is the best choice. His history as clerk alone is reason enough to support his reelection.
But supporting Scott Ellis is about so much more than just the efficient operation of the Clerk of Courts office. Scott Ellis brings a historical perspective to every contentious issue that presents itself before the county commission, the school board, or any other agency or governing body in Brevard County.
That is incredibly valuable and irreplaceable. This choice is clear. Elect Scott Ellis, Brevard County Clerk of Courts!
