VIDEO: 3 People Confirmed Dead After Helicopter Crashes In Palm Bay, Say Officials

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police and Fire Departments are on the scene of a deadly helicopter crash in the Southwest area of the city Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred in the area of Freeburg Avenue SW, between Sapodilla Road SW and Wingham Drive SW. The helicopter, operating out of Melbourne Airport, was reportedly flying low and is an older military-style aircraft.

The helicopter is not believed to have been operating in any kind of military capacity. Three casualties are confirmed, however Palm Bay Police and Fire Departments will not be releasing any further information until next of kin have been contacted.

There is no threat to the general public at this time, however Palm Bay citizens are asked to stay clear of the area.

Department officials will provide additional information as it becomes available.
