Brevard County Fire Rescue Paramedic Injured Saturday During Medical Call In West Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Brevard County Fire Rescue paramedic from Fire Station 82 was injured on Saturday about 10:30 a.m. during a medical call in West Melbourne.

The paramedic was injured while exiting the side door of the Rescue 82 ambulance during a medical call when a vehicle struck the ambulance door as it opened. The door struck the paramedic in the head, shattering the glass.

Luckily, the paramedic only received some sutures after being taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.
