BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue will host an Open House for the start of Fire Prevention Week on Saturday, October 8, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Don’t Wait – Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years,” represents the final year of our three-year effort to educate the public about basic but essential elements of smoke alarm safety.

All three stations in the Suntree/Viera area will be open to the public for the community to learn more about Brevard County Fire Rescue. All three stations will be open, so come on out and meet your local firefighters.

Fire Prevention Week activities will be held at Station 47, located at 7225 Murrell Road; Station 48, located at 5550 Porada Drive; and Station 80, located at 400 Pineda Court.

This is a free event and for more information, contact District Chief Tom Neidert at 321-604-2888 or Thomas.neidert@brevardfl.gov
