Brevard County Manager Stockton Whitten Invites Builders, Developers To Roundtable Discussion

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Manager Stockton Whitten invites members of the Builders Contractors Advisory Committee and the Development Community to take part in a “Developer’s Roundtable” meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, for discussions on growth issues, land use, development activities and building trends in the county as well as organizational approaches and processes.
The meeting will take place in the Board of County Commissioner’s boardroom, Building C, First Floor, of the Government Center, 2724 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera.
Developer’s Roundtables are designed to bring key County department heads to the table with members of the development community on a quarterly basis. The roundtables invite open and informal discussions on development processes and issues on both sides of the table.
Topics of discussion include:
• BASS update
• Lean Six Sigma evaluation of the Development Application Review process •Service Improvements and Proposed Fee Adjustments
“The emphasis is to share information and obtain external industry input as the County seeks to address potential and appropriate improvements that will reduce misunderstandings, enhance communications and increase efficiencies,” Whitten said.
“We look forward to hearing from the Builders Contractors Advisory Committee and development industry participants about their experiences with Brevard County as well as their experience in other Florida cities and counties that can help us in performing better service to our customers and residents.”
