Fundraiser Set Saturday At Merritt Square Mall To Assist Julie Spurlock In Her Battle With Cancer

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – There will be a fundraiser held this Saturday at Cold Stone Creamery at the Merritt Square Mall to benefit Julie Spurlock in her battle with cancer.
The Merritt Island native was diagnosed with VHR ALL on Feb 8, 2013. Julie beat cancer the first time, but has since relapsed Pre-B ALL.
The 16-year old is fighting harder than ever to beat cancer again. Proceeds from the benefit will help the family cover expenses incurred during these difficult times.
Saturday’s fundraiser was the idea of Julie’s friend, Amber Auricchio. Julie and Amber have been friends since the thrid grade. Cold Stone Creamery has always been community minded, so when Amber approached management about the fundraiser, they didn’t think twice.
Cold Stone Creamery offers the ultimate ice cream experience, including ice cream, ice cream cakes, shakes, and smoothies – just the way you like it!
The fundraiser will be held from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and Space Coast Daily will also be there conducting Facebook Live interviews.
The Cold Stone Creamery is located next to the Food Court and the movie theaters on the south side of the mall.
