ORLANDO, FLORIDA– Kickoff for UCF’s American Athletic Conference opener on Saturday, Oct. 1, at East Carolina has been set for noon. CBS Sports Network will broadcast the contest from Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
The last time the teams met in Greenville, N.C., the game ended on a Hail Mary from then-sophomore quarterback Justin Holman.
Dubbed Hail Perriman, Breshad Perriman caught the pass at the one-yard line and stepped into the end zone to secure a 32-30 victory and a share of the 2014 American Athletic Conference Championship.
ECU holds a 10-4 advantage in the all-time series, which includes a 6-2 mark on its home turf. The teams have met regularly as division foes in The American (2015-present) and Conference USA (2005-12).
