UPDATE: Crash On I-95 South Involving Three Vehicles Causes Near Two-Hour Stall In Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard Fire Rescue crews were called to a scene of multiple vehicle crash on I-95 Tuesday Night that resulted in the shutdown of I-95 South, periodically, while crews assisted in the cleanup and investigation.

The interstate was closed around 8:15 p.m. and reopened just before 10 p.m.

According to authorities, six people were involved in the Tuesday night crash with one of those people declared in a trauma alert while en route to the hospital.

Two people were transported to a hospital in non-critical state while three people refused treatment at the scene.

Officials say three vehicles were involved in the crash.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Rescue crews have responded to a multiple vehicle crash on I-95 in Melbourne that has shutdown all southbound lanes on I-95 after the Pineda Causeway exit.

Crews are working on extrication.

Trauma alert has been administered.

Officials advise the motorists to avoid the area, if possible.
