ABOVE VIDEO: Titusville police are investigating an incident that involved a sport utility vehicle that smashed into a reinforced doorway and destroyed parts of a concrete wall as part of an attempt to burglarize Space Coast Pawn early Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police are investigating an incident that involved a sport utility vehicle that smashed into a reinforced doorway and destroyed parts of a concrete wall as part of an attempt to burglarize Space Coast Pawn early Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
Titusville police officers responded to an alarm at Space Coast Pawn, located at 358 Cheney Highway, at around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
“The preliminary investigation reveals that concrete brick pavers were positioned to hold down the accelerator of the SUV and subsequently crash into the east side of the building destroying the reinforced door and the concrete wall around the doorway,” said the Titusville police in a release.
According to the release, surveillance video footage shows three masked suspects attempted to navigate past the trapped SUV and concrete debris in an attempt to enter the business.
The suspects were unable to make entry and left the scene in a silver 4-door Chevy without any stolen merchandise.
