Water Main Break Causes Precautionary Boil Water Notice To Be Issued In Mims Area

Due to a water main break in Mims, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents living in the Carriage Drive area, including residents living on Carriage Drive, Lantern Court, West Carriage Drive, East Carriage Drive, Lancaster Lane, Devon Court and Candle Court.

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – Due to a water main break in Mims, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents living in the Carriage Drive area, including residents living on Carriage Drive, Lantern Court, West Carriage Drive, East Carriage Drive, Lancaster Lane, Devon Court and Candle Court.

As a precaution, it’s advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.

As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
