BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The West Melbourne Police Department has arrested 48-year-old Wesley Ray Weaver for unlawful sexual activity on a 17-year-old boy victim, according to Capt. Richard Cordeau of the West Melbourne Police Department.
On September 11, an encounter between Weaver and the teenage boy occurred at Weaver’s residence on 503 Kimberly Circle in West Melbourne. The two met on a social media app where they made arrangements for a consensual sexual encounter.

Weaver was arrested on Monday and cooperated with detectives.
He was charged with “unlawful sexual activity with a minor,” a second degree felony. Weaver was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held on $15,000 bond.
If convicted, he could be sentenced to a term in prison not beyond 15 years.
At this time, it is unknown if there may be other victims. Law enforcement partners in Vero Beach and Titusville have been notified of Weaver’s arrest.
