BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team won the first three matches of the day, but Florida Tech prevailed in the Collegiate Players Cup on Sunday at Duran Golf Club.

Greg Darnell, Patxi Londaitz and Ryan Rozic all picked up wins in singles matches and Michael Stewart halved his matchup, but that was as close as the Titans would get, falling 12-4 in the Ryder Cup style event.

“Hats off to Florida Tech as they played well in all three sessions and won this year’s Collegiate Players Cup,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

“We made strides in the four ball and singles matches but we let some momentum slip away at the end of the four ball session.”
