The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin a resurfacing project on U.S. 1 (South Washington Boulevard) from north of Golden Knights Boulevard to south of State Road 50 (Cheney Highway).

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin a resurfacing project on U.S. 1 (South Washington Boulevard) from north of Golden Knights Boulevard to south of State Road 50 (Cheney Highway).

Project improvements include resurfacing the roadway, turn lane widening for bicycle lanes and a reduced acceleration lane for the eastbound SR 405 to southbound U.S. 1 on ramp.

The project also calls for minor drainage improvements, cross-slope correction, u-turn apron improvements, increased accommodation for transit and guardrail improvements.

LANE CLOSURE RESTRICTIONS

Be alert to lane closures. The southbound U.S. 1 on ramp from SR 405 will be closed as needed during acceleration lane construction work. Detour information will be available on www.CFLRoads.com.
