Hurricane Matthew Update: Monday Storm Debris Collection Areas Announced

There were 40 trucks sent throughout the county working on vegetative debris collection today, Monday, Oct. 17.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – There were 40 trucks sent throughout the county working on vegetative debris collection today, Monday, Oct. 17. 

Crews are continuing work in the following areas:
North County
Canaveral Groves and Indian River Blvd, Cocoa.
Merritt Island (between Pineda and 528).
Port St. John.
Mims.

South County
Turtle Mound area of Melbourne
S. Tropical Trail south of SR520
Valkaria and Micco
South Patrick Shores anbd Satellite Beach

Crews have started today in the following areas:
City of Melbourne along Pineapple Avenue (trucks will be moving west from Pineapple Avenue)

The public is asked to be patient. Storm debris collection updates will be posted daily.
