BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA (WFTV) – The state attorney’s office released new video of the man who is accused of killing a patient and a hospital worker at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville. The deadly shooting happened in July.

A judge ruled earlier this month that David Owens, 29, was competent to stand trial. He’s currently in custody at the state mental health institution.

Newly released video showed Owens ride his bicycle to the hospital, walk past a hospital reception area that was unattended. Video does not show Owens walk into a hospital room and shoot and kill patient Cynthia Zingsheim, 92, and hospital employee, Carrie Rouzer, 32, investigators said.

After the shooting, Owens was apprehended by two unarmed hospital guards, investigators said.
