(WFTV) – Eyewitness News has been pushing for answers in the case of a national champion accused by a teenage girl of making a sexual advance last month.
Chris Leak began coaching football at Edgewater High School in February. He resigned last week after a five-game losing streak.
Parents told Channel 9’s Janine Reyes they want to know why he resigned the same day a police report accusing Leak of sexual assault was filed; police told Eyewitness News the case is under investigation.
A 16-year-old girl said Leak asked for a massage last month in the athletic trainer office.
According to the police reporter, “Coach Leak then laid down on the training bench on his stomach. I massaged the back of his legs for 15 minutes. I told him I was done because my hands got tired.
Coach Leak then rolled over on his back. Coach Leak then told me to massage the front of his legs.
