Deadly Shooting In Mims Claims Two Lives, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Investigating

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in Mims that has claimed the life of two individuals Sunday night.
According to a release by police, at around 7:55 p.m. Sunday evening, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the Raceway located near the 2400 block off N. US 1 in Mims with reference to a shooting.
When authorities arrived, two people were located where it was determined one person was dead and the second person was in critical condition, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
The second person was transported for emergency medical attention, however later died as a result of his injuries.
Sheriff’s Office Agents are in the initial stages of the investigation, as the incident appears to be isolated and all parties involved have been identified.
The identities will be released once the next of kins are notified.
