DELTONA, FLORIDA —Phyllis Thrush was sitting on a swing outside her Deltona senior living facility, enjoying the cool weather last week, when a squirrel suddenly jumped on her arm.

But this one wasn’t friendly.

“I was trying to get rid of him. And I have 11 incisions on this arm from it,” said Thrush, as she held out her arm.

But the attack didn’t end with her. She ran into the Sterling Court Gracious Retirement Living facility — with the squirrel right on her tail.

Thrush said Friday that the rodent then attacked another resident and a worker at the facility.
